Two birth preparation visits at your home to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your hopes and expectations for your pregnancy and develop a vision of your ideal birth experience. We’ll also discuss your fears, worries, and the sorts of birth experiences you want to avoid. I will provide you with reassurance as well as outside resources when more specialized or medical attention is needed.

I’ll provide continuous support during your labor and delivery. I will be right there by your side in the thick and thin. I will be the hand to squeeze in each contraction. I will be the one to rub your back and offer breathing assistance. I will guide you through various effective techniques to make the birthing process more comfortable for you. During your birth, I will slow things down for you so that you have the time to make the right decisions for yourself and your family. My full attention will be dedicated to meeting all of your needs during your birth.

I will provide loads of information on what to expect during the various stages of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. I will also address postpartum issues and newborn care. I will provide birthing education with models, diagrams and literature that is vetted and reliable. You don’t need to rely on YouTube or Facebook when you have your own birth doula! I am your number one resource for all related to your birth. Having a birth doula will greatly increase the enjoyment and satisfaction with your birthing experience.

One visit postpartum where we will meet in your home and discuss how the birthing experience was for you. I offer support in any way that seems most useful - I can make you a meal, I can do your laundry, I can hold your baby and I can help you with feeding and breastfeeding. I will give you some tricks of the trade and be there for you to talk to and share the weight of new motherhood. Of course, that will be after we gush over your beautiful new baby.
